Position Overview:
TRG is seeking a Journeyman Business and Financial Operations Specialist Group 2 to support anticipated DHS ICE financial customer operations and business processes.
The specialist supports customer coordination, financial documentation, reporting, and improvements that keep recurring operations on schedule.
Location: ICE Office of Financial Management headquarters, Washington, DC. Remote work requires prior government approval; this is not a guaranteed remote position.
Travel: As-needed support may include Dallas, TX, Williston, VT, or other government-designated sites.
Opportunity: Anticipated contract support position; employment is contingent on contract award, final staffing assignment, and required government approvals.
Key Personnel: Not initially designated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate customer and process-owner inputs, track responses, and maintain action items and stakeholder information.
- Support service-level agreement updates and routing of financial agreement forms for review, approval, and signature.
- Prepare operational reports, meeting materials, and fiscal year-end coordination products.
- Maintain procedures, desk guides, process documentation, and SharePoint records.
- Support project plans, configuration/change documentation, training materials, and process improvement activities as assigned.
Availability Requirement:
- Support assigned work streams during normal business hours; the final staffing allocation will be confirmed during recruitment.
- Education and experience requirements may vary with the final assignment level. TRG will confirm the applicable level during candidate review.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information management, IT, computer sciences, data analytics, or a related field is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
- The Core Team collectively provides activity-based costing, financial shared services analysis, advanced Excel and visualization, federal change/release management, SharePoint and Microsoft Office skills, and technical writing. Candidates should identify the areas they can contribute.
- U.S. citizenship and fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required ICE fitness approval, background investigation, and access credentials. An active security clearance does not replace ICE approval is required.
- Current residence in the United States or its territories and residence there for at least three of the previous five years, unless an ICE-approved exception applies is required.
- Complete required security and applicable privacy training, sign required nondisclosure agreements, and protect sensitive government information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For mid-level assignments: Master's degree in data analytics, finance, or public policy.
- TRG preference: Current ICE/DHS fitness approval or an active federal security clearance, including Secret. These are preferences, not prerequisites.
